i know alot of people already said this, but "HE" is a big giveaway.  because if it was a "SHE" it could be Shania or Allison only.. or even one of Shania's sisters. the "HE" could also be Mutt but that's a longshot.. oh hey, LOL!

With all the guessing and semi-clues, I didn't even notice the real answer from Tracy til now.
Randall was chiming in over on his website mb, and wondered how many names he'll remember this year, from last year's convention. So I backtracked here to see if there was any more news about the guests.
Interesting how I see so much between the lines, around the edges, and even recognize people by the back of their heads, the clothes they wore, and even my visual memory of where they were located off-camera, when photos were taken. But with my aging eyes and difficulty focusing straight ahead, I sometimes miss the main stuff.
So, backtracking the clues, "little" rhymed with fiddle. And that's Roddy.
Randall X, I found out about earlier today, over on his own mb.
I wrote up an analysis of the clues and gave my guesses a month or so ago. But didn't post that at the time. Let me see if I saved that and can find it.
AHAH!!! Yep, here it is. I wrote this on Friday, March 24, 2006 at 7:24:13 PM.
And I wuz RIGHT!! At least on my guess of the first guest.
See Tracy? My earliest detector still works some of the time. Maybe it's on the flip side of my schedule with my attending conventions etc. in Timmins on alternate years. I was the first one to correctly post a guess about the bus 2 yrs ago. Last year, I struck out on my guesses. But I'm in the running this year again. Maybe my guesser gets distracted when I'm too personally involved.
But I got the 3rd guest wrong. And my guess for someone outside the band, may now also be skating on thin ice.
I'll post that in a separate reply asap.

Oooh! I love puzzles. Too bad I can't see this person in a photo, with their face turned the other way. If the person was in the same clothes &/or in a setting as I'd seen before, I'd identify 'em quick.
Well, since the 1st special guest is a male and a first timer for the convention, that would rule out Cory, JD, RandallX and Allison. That leaves Marc, Andy, Hardy and Roddy.
But Andy is or was touring with Billy Joel. So that could narrow it down to Marc, Hardy and Roddy. Oop, better add Brent back in there, just in case.
Marc has not interacted with fans as much, that I've seen from fan posts on ST mb's after concerts. So that narrows it down to Hardy & Roddy of my original group.
Hardy does not have a website to interact with fans. Roddy does, or did. So did RandallX, Cory and JD, who have indeed interacted further with fans in person at the conventions in Timmins.
So my guess on the first guest would be Roddy Chiong. He was also more centrally located, I think from Chicago area, versus Hardy being located out East. Hardy's also married, which reduces his freedom at least a smidgeon, compared to Roddy.
Lesser factors:
Both Andy and RandallX came from Australia originally. And I think one of them helped the other get into ST's band. That could slightly increase the odds for Andy.
Brent not only had a website where he intereacted with ST fans, he also had his own forum on the Shaniaforums for a while, where he interacted with ST fans on their own turf. However that could be neutralized by factors that led to him leaving the band before the UP! tour was completed.
Last year, we were guessing about a special guest for the convention. A photo of him was posted by Ren on this mb, with various masks to cover his head and face. Well, I managed to uncover those masks, but even when I saw the guy's head and face, I still mis-identified him. I thought he was RandallX, and had just put on some weight and aged a little since the Up! tour had ended. Heck, not only was that guest not RandallX, he wasn't even in ST's band! He was Lawrence Martin, mayor of Cochrane. Well, I guess since he sang with Eilleen on a road trip, when they both were young, and years before she ever put together her tour bands, I guess I could say [correction = Lawrence] was sort-of in one of her early musical groups.
Larger factors:
Hmn, Tracy did not say the 1st special guest was a member of ST's band. You folks just assumed that. So that opens up a slightly larger portion of the known universe.

Well Richard, at this rate the Fan Con 4 people will be able to listen to just about the entire Shania Twain Tour Band... Will make for Awesome Shania singalongs Oh yes.
